Iowaguy,
I have been thinking along those same lines. FCR or similiar first and see where that puts this bike. I keep hearing how hard it is to dial in the FCR. Anybody know of other options in carbs. I am really interested in that extra grunt in the low end.

Matt

Sounds good, Marty.

After running around some more last night in the dark, I find that the pipe lets me pull from 6 grand up, hard. Me thinks a cam shaft is all I need to launch my 120lbs at a suitable rate.

How much and where do I buy?
well, you'll first need 2 cams, not one. and to really launch any weight on this bike, i would invest in a FCR first and foremost. it sounds like that is the one mod that really wakes the bike up sans a BigGun exhaust system. I was originally going for the 300cc conversion, but am thinking the FCR carb will make more of a difference than just a few cc's. and then in 2008 maybe going for 300 cc's with the FCR. with that combo it should move my scrawny 150lbs around with pretty good authority.
glad to hear you finally got your FMF, but it's too bad it doesn't fit better. melting of the rear fender plastic is unacceptable and i'd send it back to FMF and complain. if it melts the 250 fender, it's gonna melt the 300's fender and that's crap for engineering imo, especially if it's made for these bikes.
Its HMF.
