I meant adjust idle mixture screw. I really need to proof read before I post a reply.

You may be right, I could be overthinking the situation. The problem is, this is my first dirtbike and first time doing any carb work, so I'm paranoid I will screw something up. I'm looking at every little nuance produced by the engine, which probably isn't helping.

Thanks for the info so far everyone!

Just an update to my situation...

after experiencing some major bogging on steep hills at high elevation, I decided to go back down to the stock 118 main jet. I kept the DJ needle at the same clip. So far, there is a definite improvement. I've got to fix a few more things before I can take it on a long mountain ride, but I think I will have better luck. So just to document and help other high elevation riders, here are my settings:

Uni filter
Airbox lid removed completely
Stock exhaust
DJ needle, 2nd (3rd maybe?) clip from the top
Stock 118 MJ
Fuel Screw (Kouba T handle) 2 turns out
Slide Drilled
Elevation: 8000-12000
