Here's Proof . . . .
Well, here's proof that the KLX250S works well in water!

We've been up at a rally - Tour de Apalachicola. All dualsport bikes were there.
Myself and another rider were on the KLX250S.
A few folks asked how I liked the bike and I simply handed them the keys. One gal asked me about the bike and I handed her the keys. She came back with the keys to her KTM in one hand and my keys in the other. "Choose one!" is what she told me. Later her husband told me I cost him about $10,000 as she really wants a KLX250S now! Sorry!
Been out on a lot of single track stuff, the forte of the KLX250S.

I've had mine up to the bottom of the carb in water. Glad it was small enough to pull out by myself.
BTW, that was not me! The person in the picture was another KLX250S rider from Jacksonville. He had injured himself the week before and was taking it a bit easy, perhaps too easy! We just had a Kawasaki dualsport rally up near Tallahassee. It was a ball.
Sure do wish I had a trailer full of brand new KLX250S's with me. I could have sold quite a few. We did a lot of single track and the folks on the KLR650's there sure did want something a bit lighter and more nimble. I personally loved the tight riding that we were doing. Of course, I was on the KLX250S at the time.
The KLX250S also works great on hills - or big whoop-te-dos! That's me aboard!
I've had water up to the middle of the carb and it worked it's way right on through!
