IIRC, there's an o-ring on the stock mix screw that needs to be moved to the Kouba screw. Without that o-ring, you'd likely have problems.

To those that know: Am I remembering correctly?

I put the the o ring, washer, spring, then the kouba like it said. I dont think I was doing full turns. I don't want to pull the carb again to put it on unless I have to. Thanks

Not a fun carb to remove. You can actually twist it in the mounts to replace the mixture screw. Can probably even replace it without doing that if you take your time.

It wouldnt be so bad if I didnt have to remove the pelican case from the from the rack, the rack from the frame, the plastics from the frame, the seat from the frame, the shrouds from the tank, the tank from the frame and then the carb. I will definitely try the carb "in" method when I change it out next time.
