Default Helmet choice ??

Just got my 2009 and rode today with an MX full face helmet and an open face - now granted I am not into hard riding, I am more of an occasional "goose" the throttle, back country tourer...but I actually like the vision from the open face more than the full face (who needs teeth)

What do you guys wear

Rik

I wear a full face. Isn't it a bit chilly wearing an open helmet up in Washington State LOL?

I have a Fly Racing Trophy helmet... and I'm hesitant to recommend it to you. The price is good, and it feels like a solid helmet, but the paint faded horribly in a matter of a couple months, and that makes me worry about the quality of the rest of the helmet. My dad wears a Fox V3, he loves it.

I have a Fox V3 as well. Best helmet i have ever owned. Very light and plenty of air flow.

I wear some discount MX style helmet (DOT Approved), cant remember the brand. Paint is peeling severely, but then again I'm not about good looks . For colder weather and really windy days I use a Shark A500 (full face).
Overall I prefer the openness of the MX style with safety glasses.

661 Flight carbon composite helmet. Light weight and plenty of ventilation, important when the mercury gets up above 40oC.
