I have a Thor Carbon but that is only for the dirt because I do not have a plate in my 300. If I was going to ride in and off road I would have one of the new Shoei Super moto/duel sport helmets that is a hybird between street and dirt.

HJC mx w/Scott OTG (over the glasses, gettin' old can be inconvenient)

After reading a few helmet threads I'v decided to give a full face street lid a try for commuting/touring. There are some interesting models out there that pop up visors and good ventilation. The visor on an MX helmet is good at delflecting mud on the trails. I'ts also good a catching air going 65+ on the street. Semi's in oncoming traffic give the 'ol neck muscles a workout.

I have a Scorpion VX-17 (for summer) and a Scorpion EXO-400 (for winter), green graphics on both.

You can usually get a really nice price on Scorpion helmet closeouts (last year's graphics). I just bought a yellow one to match my F800GS.

How do you like the VX-17? How much did you pay?

I delayed in getting a MX helmet and I needed one right then and there, so I picked up the HJC SPX matte-black in a store. I could've gotten cheaper if I ordered online...but hey...it was there in front of me and I needed it for the next day.
