Default Hard starting when tipped ?

I have a 09 and have seen home made hot start systems, is restarting after falling down really a big problem. Does anyone have experience with this. I have ridden carbureted dirt bikes for years and fallen hundreds of times and never had a problem. is there a problem with this model.

It floods when you tip it over. Twist the throttle while you are pushing the start button. May take a few twists.

^^^ he hit it on the head. If you notice, there will be a little puddle of gas on the ground where you set it over. The gas came flowing up and out. Just stand it back up straight and let it sit a couple minutes to cool off, so you're not fighting hot start + flooded bike.

I alwayse held it wide open while starting, only took a few a few turn over's, and it would fire back up.

One advantage to fuel injected.

Does this happen with pumper carbs?

it must be the fact that my 09 has not been jetted yet(its on its way), because i have laid this bike down about 7 or 8 times and evertime it fires right back up, even in the cold i have not once have had a starting issue with this bike. ive started it in 20 degree weather and no problem.

May haveto do with the bike being very lean from factory? I don't know, would that make them start easier?

I dropped my '09 and stood it back up. It turned over a couple of times (~5) then fired up. But it did not stay down very long... Maybe 20 seconds.

Hope this info helps.
