Garmin makes cycle/bicycle mounts for all of their hand helds. You can get them direct from garmin, or from amazon. www.garmin.com I just ordered one of the mounts today. I'll try it out soon. I have a mount on my Yamaha fz1 for their automotive gps (to big for the klx and not waterproof) and it works very well. The handheld mounts are about $17.

I have a Garmin bicycle mount on all three of my bikes. The only issue I have, is that the batteries in the Etrex Vista and Vista-C, vibrate and lose connection. I have 12V outlets on the KLR and DR to fix the problem, I just haven't found a good mounting space on the KLX.

I use RAM handle bar mounts for mine. They work very well.

I have the ram mount and it holds it great. It uses a U clamp to mount to the handlebar. That's it.

RAM mount is superb - excellent design, simple and effective, solid mount that won't vibrate loose.

I've used the Garmin bicycle handlebar mount for my eTrex and it works fine for that application, but I'm not sure it would be as good on the motorcycle bar. For one thing, you need more bar space for it because the GPS is right up against the bar. With the RAM mount, it extends the GPS up and out of the way so it doesn't need as much bar space. Bar space seems to be a premium on my bike. Also, the Garmin mount seems much more fagile than the RAM mount.

Here's the RAM mount:

Edit: pic no longer works

Ditto on the RAM mount!

Once you have one, you won't be without one!

I also use mine to mount my camcorder for taking videos while out exploring. Sometime I come across wildlife. Now just think if deej had a camcorder on his bike when he had the bear encounter! That would have been great!

I'll weigh in too....
I've had a Garmin Etrex Vista with Ram mount on my Pilot for about 3 years now and the combination is great. You won't be dissapointed!
I have been offroading in some of the roughest terain in the midwest and had no problems!

I use the Garmin Bicycle Mount with a GPS V, mine came with a set of springs that fit between the batteries, so that vibration doesn't turn off the GPS. I would like to get a RAM mount to mount the unit higher. The GPS V is great for the money. It comes with City Select and an Automobile Mount.
