Windex is the way to go for the bead. Dries fast for no slipping! I can change both tires in less then 40 min. I use three spoons.
+1 on the windex

It may not fly off, but it will probably spin the tire on the rim which will rip off the valve stem. That's not good.

hmmm no that isnt good. I only used such a very very small amount just on the flat bottom edge of the bead, and on one side, not both sides.....maybe i'll be ok?

Take the lube OFF immediately - wash it off good! Like everyone says - soap and water or windex only. You're flirten with disaster boy! I guy used lube in our riding group and the tire partially spun off plus he ruined his wheel.

Not to mention that as the tire heats up the lube will thin out and spread, so it may have started on the bottom lip but its going to get all over inside the bead area. Even using soap and water can be tricky because it will re-wet anytime the tire gets wet. Best bet is windex because of how quickly it evaporates, and it doesn't re-wet, its just gone once its dry.

Damnation.......I only flirt with disaster when she dances on a pole

Here's a thought...what if i just let the air out and break the one side i used it on and wiped it off the rim and tire? It was so little that theres no way it would squeeze out and get all over the place. I used like 2 pea sized dabs for the whole wheel.

Take the tire off & clean the entire situation. JMHO +1 on the windex.

If you only have it on one bead remove the bead on that side move the other side into the dish and wipe the whole tire down and inside the tire and tube. This job shouldn't take you so long and it will give you some practice when you have a flat. And use three spoons it makes all the diff.

Looking at your avatar and talking about spoons, I hope you don't mean this?
