my bike was bought at one dealer worked on there, taken to another dealer worked on there, then taken to another dealer and worked on there... the last place actually has a mechanic... if you find a good shop you will be set, but good luck....they let anyone work on bikes.... i knew more than the one guy..[:@]

I didn't get it because it wouldn't cover most stuff that I broke or plan on breaking.

I work at a Cadillac dealership as a tech. the aftermarket warranties that i have seen are definitely not as good as the factory extended warranties. if you do haveone major repair, it was worth the money. In the same lightthe techs are all different within the dealership. some good, some real good and some i wouldn't let work on a tricycle (pedal type). what I'm getting at is get to know the guy that is going to work on your bike if you canand in most shops you can ask for a specific tech. it may take a little longer because he is usually backed up, but it will be worth it in the long run. as far as buyingit one place and servicing it at another, the only guy out of the loop is the crappy salesman. the service department has to pay their bills too. if your a good customer they will try to take care of you too. (sorry it was so long)

If you haggle with the dealer you can get a break on the warranty price,my bud works for a kawi dealer and said they only pay $200. and sell it for $400. I got 4 yrs for $300. with my bike and alot of haggling. I argued for either a helmet or a break on the warranty price with my bike and they warranty deal cost them less and went for it.They get paid from kawi for any repairs they make anyways so it's just extra $$ for them to make a profit on. Try it you might be surprized

True Dat, but I bet if you had never let that first dealership touch your bike you would never have had any expensive parts to replace. Hell they couldn't change the oil.
