Good Times Protection Plan? Yes or No?

Good Times Protection Plan? Yes or No?
What is the consensus on the Kawasaki Good Times Protection Plan? 24 months on my newly purchased KLX-250S is $330 if I remember correctly. I need to decide whether I want the coverage and, if I do get it what duration I should get. I think 48 months was only a $100 more but, am I likely to have anything covered past a 24 month policy? I need to figure this out by the middle of next week which is when I will be signing the bill of sale, otherwise I pay an extra %10 premium for the coverage.
Thanks in Advance!

I think the laws of motorcycle karma work like this: If you don't have it, the bike will break, if you do have it the bike won't.
So the reality factor is: If you have the money - get it!

I put on the whole 48 months....cheap insurance if the bike eats a valve or eats a cam lobe!!!!!!If you do your own maintenance then make sure you document your oil change intervals and all other maintenance.....it helps
Also at my dealership I buy my oilfilters and he can pull that from the records to see that i actually did buy oil filters from him. Most real dealerships have computers these days and can and do track this stuff.....also save your reciepts.....more artillery against them if they deny or try to deny a claim.as for oil i usually buy Amsoil in bulk and I also save those reciepts as well if they need proof.

My buddy works for a kawi dealer and they mark the warranty price up,if you haggle the price they can knock up to $200.00 off as it only costs them $200. to buy it and theymark it up for a profit plus get paid by kawi when the warranty work is done,so they make out on both ends. I argued my extra 4yr coverage for $200. and they took it so I would buy from them instead of the other dealer.Just my .02cents

Well that's all and good, but when I ordered my bike from the only dealer in 200 miles a month before they even got the first one, (Nov 05) my dickering power was zip. I didn't even try to negotiate the price on the bike, they knew the bikes would sell and I knew I wanted the first one delivered. As far as the price for the warranty, who cares, I was so excited about the bike, they could have priced the bike at whatever they wanted and I still would have bought it. And I feel the exact same way today. No regrets no worries. Its all good. You can't put a price on piece of mind. [8D]

But does the 300cc kits, or the 340cc kits, the smog removal, the jetting, the drilling and other free mods.... Does any of that void any warranty? The way those claims are, I could see them saying that because you changed the snorkle they won't replace you're blown engine?

Yes & no. If you put on a pipe & your front wheel bearings go out then no. If you put a big bore & have internal engine issues then good luck.
