Default Givi top case & passenger pegs

I find myself using my KLX mostly as alightweight adventure bike. The pelican case is great if your riding aggressively and need something indestructible with limited space. What do you think of this case? It's under $100, locking, holds 1 helmet, yet should stay within the capacity of the rack.

I'm also looking for some larger passenger pegs. I'd like ot avoid welding. Something that bolts into the existing mount would be great. My fiancee's feet slide offsometimes slip on these tiny pegs... definitely not a BMW. You can't clamp below hte existingpegs becausethe chain upper guide is there... and the chain does slap against thereoccasionally. Any thoughts.

Here's the Givi case:

Here is the case I throw on my KLX on occasion. I bought it for a KLR 650, but kept it when I traded for the KLX. Its a Shad top case, it doesnt come with a back rest for passengers but that is easily added, just drill 2 holes and snap it on. Its the SH39 model http://www.shad.es/

I actually have a soft sided cooler that I've been strapping down for pcinic lunches, but it gets all dusty and it a PITA to bungee down securely.

I looked at the '08 KLR650... some nice updates... it's looking better all the time. I just don't ride as much on trails or at ATV parks as I had once planned when I bought it. I have a dirt helmet and googles along with a ncie pair of Sidi MX bootsthat are all collecting dust in the basement.

I'm at work right now so can't look at my bike to see if this would work or not but here goes. To extend the pegs on his atv's my great grandfather would use PVC pipe that was a tight fit over the peg and convince it to slide on with a rubber mallet, made it perfect for 2 up riding or when wearing large boots. For grip you can cut V notches in the pipe. I'm pretty sure you couldn't leave them on all the time with the way the pegs flip up but maybe carry them in your luggage box and have them attach to the frame tubes with some safety wire so you don't have to pound them on all the time, just slip and twist the wire.

One peg doesn't flip-up thanks to the Muzzy full system, so The PVC pipe might be a descent mod.
