The $27 top case and $22 highway pegs mods
I went to harborfreight and couldn't pass up the $27 Pelican knock-off aluminum case. Decided to mount it to the back of the KLX's stock rack - it bolts to where the stock toolkit used to bolt to the fender and also connects to the rear of the rack with sophisticated hose clamps Won't trust it with too much weight, but for a simple macbook air and a gopro, cell phone etc. this will do.
P.S: In hindsight, I would have added a small aluminum backing plate because the bottom of the case is cardboard-ish material. But it should hold as it is for a while.
These pegs were some chromalicious Harley pegs I found on Amazon for $22.
P.S: In hindsight, the right side bolt needs to be longer so that it clears the header pipe more comfortably.

Hey welcome guys! If you happen to go through Trois-Rivieres, we can spend a day in trails in my area.

I have never been up that way. We are driving from Boston to Baie Comeau and then getting on the bikes east bound; turning around in Lab City. Trois looks to be near Quebec City? We will keep that in mind, thanks for the invitation Ray!

If you're going that far, why stop in Lab City? I've been there 6 or 7 times for work, but haven't had the chance to go across to Goose Bay, yet. Every time I go, I wish I was on a bike. Btw, there's trails and roads everywhere along the 389, going to Labrador. It will take a lot of intestinal fortitude not to get sidetracked somewhere along the way ;P
