Will one from the klx300 work? I bent me shift lever pretty good this past week at the pine hill enduro in south jersey. Its still useable but I would like to replace it with something a little stronger.

Bump on this******

I just bent my gear shifter and brake pedal............

Mrcycles wants $48 and $37 for these parts....

Hope there are some aftermarket parts that fit that are stronger and cheaper.

Sorry to jump in on the thread, but why clutter the board...right?

I don't know about the brake pedal, but IMS makes a shifter for the KLX250. They want $29.99 for it though. You can check it out here:

I just checked IMS site and its for the 93 -96 klx250R. Will an aftermarket shifter for the klx300 work? If anyone has done this I'd like to know.

I wonder how bike specific these two parts are?? I bet any klx shifter would fit.............
the brake pedal may have to be more accuratebut not sure...................

We'll wait to see what others think....

I'll probably just order the moose shifter for the klx300 I think I read it can be used on the 250s. Hopefully someone will chime in with parts used.

I've read posts here that say the KLX300 shifter will NOT fit, it hits the case.

I'll keep searching..............can't believe nobody else bent theirs yet............they seem to bend so easy, escpecially the brake pedal. I bent it back in place by hand.

That sunline is a sharp looking shifter.

It looks like the gold will match any after market gold chain and the brownish arm willlook clean against the brown case!!
Hope they make a model that will fit.......................
