my gear leaver is leaking at the seal so today i changed the seal but to no avail.

i noticed my leaver shaft has play in all directions up down left right in and out causing the seal to leak

should i

A. change needle bearing only

B. change needle bearing and both the collars

 

When in doubt, change it out.

Yeah seriously, how much is the difference in parts cost between those 2 jobs? Weigh that against how many times you want to tear into this thing.

 

true about changing em all for peace of mind and not having to come back

found out price is not that much higher (parts guy where i order mess up numbers got higher quote for the collars 25$ a piece when it is about 2$)
