Default fuel mixture screw

I installed my new two brothers slip on last night. Sounds sweet. I wont be able to get it re jetted until Monday, but can I adjust the fuel mixture screw a bit to help it run more rich until Monday? Where is that screw? It is not visible like the old days. Thanks.

Actually I'm not sure where it is, it might be under a plug on the bottom. I have been told that you can install an adjustable thumb screw like on the race bikes, that would be cool.

Norm Kouba (Carl's Cycle in Boise Idaho) http://www.koubalink.com/fuelscrew.html makes a T-handle idle fuel screw part #FS-3 that I have installed on my bike, it works very well.

Here's a link with instruction on how to access the fuel screw:

The pilot jet is not going to help with anything above 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. So, if you are going to reject, just wait and leave the stock pipe on. Makes no sense to pull the carb twice, just wasting your time and knuckle skin.

+1

Although I was able to remove the plug and install the new screw by loosening up the boots and idle **** and twisting the carburetor counter-clockwise, took 10 minutes and made a noticeable difference at up to about 1/2 throttle, there must be quite an overlap in the CVK34's idle circuit.

The jets in a carburetor are cumulative, so actually adjustments made to the pilot circuit do affect higher throttle operation to some extent.

i have the two brothers slip on and just put in a 40pilot and a 140 main with the NITC needle with collar and clip in the second notch from top. also removed the smog unit and did the crankcase mod and run with no air box lid.ij am at 1200" elevation. 99% no decel pop now and it may be a little rich. i might put in the 135 main. it runs great though. starts with no choke now. blip the throttle once or twice and hit the start button. the first night i took it for a ride after mods i was unsure but now i am happy. took it out on the road to workand pulling wheelies from first to second and pulls hard with good throttle response. i also drilled the slide to 7/64ths. i also run the 13 45 gear combo. it is not the same bike i purchased a couple of months ago. 2007 klx![8D]

?? Can you explain that, cause I do not see any way adjusting a pilot jet is going to allow you to run a full system at anything but part throttle. At 1/2 to WOT you are on the needle and main jet.

His response was to ZX1100F1 and it's correct. I don't think he was saying you could tweak in a new pipe at 1/2 to WOT with the fuel screw..only that it affected the entire throttle range..albeit toa very small extent.
