Trust me! start with the tires. I put the Kenda 270 on my Rear rim and the wobble is 100% gone. It's all in the tires, I don't care what anyone else says. Yes, Moving back helps but with the Kenda, I can ride anywhere on the seat & it's all good even at 75 shown on the Speedo.

75 mph is when my wobble would just start

Mostly if I had a 75 mph wobble it would be the back draft off an suv or a semi truck...Outside of that mostly 79-83mph area....Speed is the enemy....Even if you stop the wobble something else will probably wreck ya...One huge gust of unexpected wind....A tar strip...Uneven road surface...

Very true Rocco. I ran NC I-77 north Up into Virgina at 85 Mph showing for about 15 miles. Tractor trailers all around me. Then I hit a hill that slowed me to 70 or so and I got blocked in behind a rig doing 60 and to my left a rig doing 71. I ended up riding the shoulder to get around the slow rig. I don't ride on 77 anymore. At that speed you definitely need to be back on the seat. My but was on the tool pouch.

The OE 603's are rated to 33 psi (cold.)

I dunno, I can go 70 on stock tires no problem. No shake at all.

The '09's have different stock tires. The OE 603's on the 07 are more like dirt tires. As Westoz pointed out, Start by pumping up the air pressure to 30. at least that is a cheap way to start diagnosing. I just live with the wobble until my 603 wore out and then put on the Kenda K270. Death wobble was gone but, looking back, I did start running higher air pressure at the same time.

I rode today to and from work with a 20pound back pack on and no wobble. I think the back pack changed the CG enough to get ride of the wobble. I even went up to 80mph and no where at any speed did I get a wobble. I'm not understanding the physics but, I don't want to lower my bike... So can I raise the back end up and loosen the spring?
