Front Brake Question
Reviving an old thread, I'm on RockyMountainATV with my debit card burning a hole in my pocket....Any issues with the Galfer line now that you've had it a while?

There's much less exposure to damage this way.
Thanks Brian, another thing I noticed is that the front rotor on my new (used) wheels is similar to your KTM in that its hard mounted w/out the rivets/slides like the stock KLX rotor. I'll have to get it mounted and double check fitment before I place my order in case I need a new rotor too...
A while back a member here was posting that he was making some lines himself for the bike.He had prices posted and all.Remember the line has to be run in the MX sway of half thru the guard and then loops between the fork and wheel to the caliper.I had my local hydraulic shop make one out of parker 4 wire hose and the proper ends.....26.93 for the price..Parker 4 wire is good to 5000 psi which is way more than 4 of your fingers will ever produce. They also had the proper fittings in stock. It took the guys all of 10 mintues to measure and fit the line and make it then hand it off to me to stuff in the backpack.STILL from 40 mph in a parking lot and standing i can only hold the rear wheel off the ground a few inches near the end of the stoppie attempt.the main problem is the soft front suspension.which i will get fixed soon.
Eric,
Give Bill Blue a call at 316-640-3629. I have his lines front and rear and they're great. My brakes are as firm as can be now. You will need to spend the time to bleed them properly, but it's worth every minute. He even clocks the fittings for proper alignment. I would expectthat the other, quality suppliers do the same, but it's for sure with Bill's work.
Good luck.

Sorry, Eric. I bought mine sometime back and don't remember the cost. I guess I could try to dig it up, but call Bill. It was reasonable, I remember that. He's a great guy to get to know anyway. Watch out, though. He might sell you a steering damper...
You know you really want one, don't you?

Bill's lines were about $55, same for the Galfer. The Galfer however has a metal 90 degree fitting that sticks out beyond the forkleg, I don't remember what the BB lines were.
