Default Fork Rebuild Time?

Previous owner says he changed the fork seals but when I compress the forks down repeatedly there's an oily film on one. I slid the dust seals off and cleaned as much as I could but there's still an oily film after riding on the trails - never when stationary.

Time to rebuild them this winter? If so, what kit should I use - All *****, Pivot Works or other?

Thanks!

I used a Pivot Works kit to rebuild the front and rear suspension when I revalved/re-sprung the bike 7 years ago.
Excellent quality and has been flawless.

I don't mess with forks until it's absolutely necessary. I never quite got into them that much. They leak? .. yea, some.

So I replaced both fork seals and changed the oil. Really not all the complicated . . . just takes a bit of patience. Glad I did as the oil on the caliber side fork was really dirty and contaminated.
