Default FMF Q4 Powercore Slip On

I just ordered one. I researched as much as I could and just liked this one better. Dyno Jet is in my town, so I'll go to them for a jet kit. I may even take it to them if they do that sort of thing.

Anyone had any problems installing one?

What year is your bike? While I don't have a FMF exhaust, others have posted in my thread about the Two Brothers I installed saying they had to bend the passenger foot guard in order for the FMF to "fit".

I have the same problem with the Two Bros. Pipe has melted the airbox too.

I have the powercore 4 which I just installed and I had to bend the triangle piece of metal behind the passenger peg. And only one of the two bolt holes lined up. Will have to take a closer look at my airbox to see if it is too close. I have yet to drive it since the install

I have a 09 SF. I was worried about fitment. I hadn't heard about the airbox melting. It seems like not alot of aftermarket stuff really works... on any bike. You always have to McGyver stuff.

Hmmm, maybe it's all the new stuff that doesn't fit. I put a White Bros. E-series on one of mine and a Stroker SX1 on the other. Fit perfectly. Of course, these are KLX300R header/exhaust setups on the pre '09 models but they both fit perfectly.

Your bike is pre-2009. It seems that's when there are "challenges"... from 2009 and on.

I just followed the instructions that came with the Powercore 4 and had it on fine with no leaks in less than half an hour.

The FMF Powercore goes on with no issue and doesn't melt anything. You still have to bend the passenger foot protector out though.
