FMF Q4 Powercore Slip On

That's my issue with any brand. Don't say it's "bolt-on" when you have to modify (bend) parts of the bike for their product to fit. At least give me a disclaimer, "Some modification may be required for proper fitment."

I've owned several bikes and have done several modifications. I can't reacall one that didn't have to have some modification in order to fit aftermarket parts. Bending out the foot gaurd is not that big of a deal in order to get the pipe to fit really well.

Well I disagree.
Adding modifications to my previous Yamaha FJR1300, everything fit without having to do something to the actual bike's structure.
Adding modifications to my previous Buell Ulysses, everything fit without having to do something to the actual bike's structure.
And adding modifications to my HD Street Glide, everything has fit without having to do something to the actual bike's structure.
I guess I've had different experiences with aftermarket parts on motorcycles. I've never had to bend something to make it fit.
Same would be for modificiations I've done to cars (intakes, exhausts, springs, etc.). I've never had to change something in the vehicle's structure for it to fit.
Otherwise, to me, it's not "bolt-on".

Heck even with my 07 Sportster you had to reroute the wireing harness for the Powercommander to fit as designed. But like I said if you followed the directions that came with the product it was done and done very easily. For the dynojet kit it says to drill out the stock plug on the little screw so you can get to it, no big deal.

The muffler should be here today. We'll do the re jetting early next week. I was going to drill the starter jet too, but I tried holding the throttle open for a few seconds, (something I read here) and it fired right up.
I'll ride more this weekend and make a decision on the starter jet. I always try to "do no harm" when it comes to maintenance.
