weird, my FMF fits perfectly on my 07 with no mods.

edit - just checked your pics - I see you didn't get the FMF header pipe. That may be why.

Mine came in and was installed with jet kit last week, only thing it was for an 06, still fit my 09 but the turn signal had to come off. Sounds great, increase of power with exhaust and jet kit noticable. Correct muffler for an 09 should be in this week, will let you know on any fitting issues.

Sorry to hear you had trouble Al. Mine fit up perfectly. I've got an "07" with the stock header.

Default al.b's q4

thanks for the reply's

i dont know what is with it. it's about 1 3/4in to short.

i did find a small tube 2in dia and about 3in long to slide

into the pipe and over the head pipe , not a great fix but

it will do for now. i'll check out some pipe shops this week.

are all the head pips the same size ?. i just checked the tag

on the box it reads (kaw klx250/300r'94-07 q4 s/a mlfr).

oh crap did i order the wrong pipe !! buggered again.

other than it's a little short it fits realy well, no rubs on the

pass peg,air box, side pannel . it also fires right up,a little

choke and BA BOOM! it never starts that easy. roll on

the throttle lots of pull ,no flat spots , off the throttle no

poping, farting nothing runs great , only a test run on the

street . a woods run next weekend ,sounds realy great!

if anybody knows if the head pips are different could you

let mo know. and what year. i might half to change it.

thanks

al.b
