I'm considering buying an FMF pipe for the KLX, I can land one here in AUS from US for about $380.00 Australian, Haven't heard you guys talk too much about the FMF, anyone got any
Opinions.

The seller makes a false statement. The power core 4 will not fit the 2006/2007 KLX250S, because the headpipe length is different. You will need a KLX300 Headpipe or a custom welding job to make it fit properly. The FMF Q4 will fit our bike without mods.

 

I have the Q4 can on my stock header now. I like it a lot....has a great low note to it and and makes just enough growl in the upper rpm's. I'm still waiting for delivery on the power bomb header....can't wait to see the difference that will make. I read that FMF claims this system will add 3hp. I don't know about that, there web site doesn't have the dyno charts up yet. I did notice a little more response in the lower rpms with just the can on. The Q4 from what i've read is the quietest aftermarket exhaust out there. That's what I was looking for. I don't want half of the state to hear me when I don't want them to!

I'm assuming there are Q4 pipes for all different bikes or is the Q4 the model, theres lots of Q4's on Ebay but none say for the KLX250.

i got my Q4 from starcycle. i found it on e-bay and just called them directly.
