Hey, thanks for all the comments. The canyon is Titus Canyon in Death Valley National Park. It's a really neat ride, especially through the "narrows". I've done it twice--once when the bike was a 250 and again with the 351. The weather has been good in SoCal, so hoping to get out for a ride over the New Year's holiday.

The skidplate and radiator guards are both from Scorpion Racing, a Canadian company. I am very happy with both and would definitely recommend. I do have a Riccochet skidplate on my Husky and like it as well, but wanted to do something different on the KLX.

True adventure riding! Very encouraging for someone considering the KLX, and a great report on the bike's capability and accessory function. Thanks!!!
