You mean above the headlight? I toyed with the idea but didn't like the look plus it seemed like mounting it to plastic it would not be fragile and might vibrate.

I did like the high angle though.

The problem is that with my old stock headlight the extra light from the aux lights was pretty noticable. With the silverstar I have to cover up the headlight to see where the aux light is aimed.

Even with that the aux light offers an independant backup light if the main goes and offers a bit more "flash" for the other guy to notice me.

+1 on touching the bulb makes it self destruct. I have many hours on the SS bulb in the husky and I endoed it smashing the speedometer and the head light survived aok. Can you say crash tested - I can.
