Nice job. At the stage your at now it lookssimilar tomy Four Stroke Works skid plate. He doesn't put "side plates" on but sells a separate water pump guard.

you know more that i do about this stuff BUT i'd go a little higher on the water pump side and slant it out a bit more then brace it. a friend of mine had his skid plate annahilate his water pump. he and the bike fell on the right side and the skid plate bent in on the water pump. it was in ariverbed so it was probably a "worst case scenario"type crash.......

 

I finished the project last night. I'm very pleased with the outcome.
The reason that I didn't make a higher side on the water pump side was mainly for looks.
I hope my welds measure up to you alls standards.

For those who have expressed interest in getting a copy of one of these, I really didn't want to get into the whole production thing. You know time constraints and all. But if I get some spare time I will make a couple and those wanting one will have a chance to get it.
After all, this one took me two years to make.
