a few questions about the Klx 300r...

Grinding out the header pipe will help some but your best bet would be a FSW header. Guts makes a tall seat foam and cover for the KLX that makes it a little flatter. I'm about 5' 10" and use the stock foam with a Guts cover. Depending on your inseam, I would think unless you are about 6'+ the stock foam would be best. The guts seat also makes the top of the seat a little rounder vs. how the stocker is a little flat. The seat is a great upgrade for anyone that isn't verticaly challanged. It really helps with rider position as well. It gets you out of the dreaded dip the stock seat always sucks you into.

i ground out the head pipe and just like AgoosSS said it did help a bit... im looking into the fsw headder but does anyone know if that header fits the procircut slipon muffler cus im looking at either a full big gun system or the fsw and procircut

Just an FYI, someone on here might wanna buy your stock exhaust, its more free flowing the the stock klx250 exhaust...and it bolts right up.

thanks for the tip EMS_0525 ill keep that in mind when i do put another exhaust on my bike that way ill get some of my money back ill post it up in the classifieds when the time comes or in the klx 250 forum... jw how much is my stock exhaust worth... it is in perfict condition becided the fact i took the restrictive weld out...

i have no idea man... depends how greedy you are..lol.... im horrible at determining value. See if there is one on ebay and what its going for...

i have a 300 as well. where is the restricter plate? Remove the header from the engine and it's right there within easy access perhaps?

no restrictor plate, just gunky weld that blocks flow. it isn't going to give any performance to write home about.

all i knodised after grinding it out was a little bit quicker revs and smoother power...
