as for the Vapor the back light is very bright you wont be disappointed,
i was very impressed with the quality of the whole package.
but just a note.... if you are going to get the dashboard with the light's don't get the protective pod... it wont fit.

and I think some guy's did reset the mileage i just don't know how.

I fabbed up a little motor contraption with a magnet and let it spin next to the odo sensor as fast as the vapor could reliably read it for the required amount of time to get the mileage right.

Hey, would you look at that ... proof that I had the fastest KLX ever.

What rear fender did you use with the edge 2 light? That rear is just AWESOME and I would like to flatter you by copying it....

The fender is from Maier, it's for a KLX 300 but it goes on no problem.
that is what this forum is all about sharing ideas and helping out.

redbrd,

do you have a pic of the rear fender before it was installed? I have browsed a few in the catalogues, but it's hard to tell what the fender actually looks like on the shelf, the brandsI can orderfrom list enduro, mx, etc soI want to make sureI order the correct style...would love to get my hands on the Maier, but I can't seem to find it in my neck of the woods

Redbrd, how much of that rear subframe did you cut off? Did you weld any extra support for the lightswhen you cut off some of the old metal ? I'm thinking of tacking something under the fender to bolt the light to so there are no bolts above the fender. This could turn into a really fun project with obvious spectacular results. Thanks again for the info !

Do you have an exact part number for that fender. I did some searches on the KLX300 and the pictures I come up with look more like MY rear fender. They also seem to list 97-2002 seperately from 2003-up. Sorry to be a pain......

Check out the Baja Designs tail light and plate holder. It bolts up under the MX fender. Cut the sub-frame near the bend and move the original plastic end caps to the cut-down section. I liked the brightness of the stock blinkers so I made a simple mount to keep them, just a single piece of 1/8" by 1" aluminum bent along the inside contour of the rear fender and turned up and the ends.

Great to see you still hangin' out with us, NoBrakes ! Enjoying that Katooom?

I was sitting down reading cycle world and they did a little writeup on these 'crashproof' breakaway lights:

http://www.electrosport.com/electros....product1.html

Supposedly brighter, much smaller, and even have backside indicators at the tip. They liked them and for $30 a pair I'm gonna order up a set, I think they'll go nice with that fender. I'll probably fab something up to us that hole that it looks like you may have (??) plugged up with something else. Too bad that rear fender isn't like 4 inches shorter...that would look killer.
