are the klx300 throttle cables longer as well and will they work on the klx250 '12?

 

I know a KLX650 cable is too long(longer than the 300), but is still working fine...which reminds me, I need to order cables. I'm going to special order KLX250 cables with a +2 from Motion Pro for my set up.

 

Just ordered a replacement cable from Motion Pro a few days ago.

Mine has frayed. Only half a cable left...

In the meantime, I greased the pivot and lubed the cable.

 

I've got the stressed cable problem on my '13 KLX250s after ProTaper bars and riser. Thought I'd try the 300 cable as a kwik and cheap fix, but I'll probably put a Magura Hydro clutch on it eventually. The Mugura is REALLY,REALLY,REALLY expensive compared to a cable, but it doesn't break. I put one on my KLR650 and loved it.

 

hi, what is the exact length of the standard klx250 clutch cable and the klx300 cable? (i need to know as i found someone selling a cable which is marked as fitting klx300 / klx250 etc... so no idea if its longer than the one i already have)
