Default Exhaust Tape

I found this little blurb here: http://www.xrsonly.com/content/index...mart&Itemid=89

"Harness the hidden power of heat by insulating your headers with exhaust insulation wrap. The higher the gas temperature the greater velocity and pressure drop in the system, which results in greater efficiency and increased horsepower. The kit contains 50 feet of insulation."

The moose racing website says nothing about increasing HP. Is that even possible?
Has anyone actually used this stuff?

For me this is straight into the category of if seems too good to be true, it probably is.
But I'm a cynical old man who has never even heard of it.

Let's get real... if you could get any measurable 'free' HP gain from insulation, all the manufacturers would be using it.

I didn't notice any difference in power after I installed mine. I just put it on to keep me from getting burned. Here's my thread on it...https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=28886

A lot of people do it, i don't know why when they say it barley increases HP at all. It will actually make your headers corrode quicker!

Most guys use it for cosmetic purposes. For the price they should get ceramic coatings that look better anyway. HP increase has to be placebo in my opinion.
