Default Engine guard from Utah sports

I read most of the discussion on engine guards from a few months ago. How do you all like the Utah sports guard? Any problems.

Thanks.

They're about as good as they come. Fit is good. Protection, first rate. Looks as good as a full coverage skid plate can look without boring holes. You can do that to your own liking if you wish.

I'd buy another one for sure.

G'luck!

Utah Skidplates are Awesome! Mine came well packaged with all the hardware, the install is pretty straight forward...remove old guard install replacment. Fit was xlnt, I was also impressed that the aluminum plate was anodized. I thought it would be raw aluminum.

Money Well Spent!

+1 with what eveyone else has said so far. Ez install, good looking, and most important it works good. I've heard many a rock clanging off the bottom of the thing. It gives you one less thing to worry about when on the trail. The only downside is the engine noise is shot right back up at you. Eventually I think I'll take it off and put some undercoating on the inside of it to lessen the noise.

Just thinking out loud here, would boring some holes in it lessen the echo effect?

Yep, seems like a decent plate, well made and sturdy. I've lowered the bike with some links and the plate has taken a fair share of hits, holding up well.
