Default emgo brush gaurds

these just showed up @ my door. anyone install these on the sock bars? i just took a quick it looks like i might have to move some stuff around. no directions came with them

i bought some msr's, i dont know about the 06-07's, but the 09's have a cap welded in. you could probally tap it and still use the stock bars, but i said f*** it and bought msr bars to make sure they fit right the first time. just watch you front brake line, my ended up hitting the bottom of the guard and had to bend the line guide forward some.

The weights tack-welded in the barends will be the big PITA on the stock bars.

I ran a bolt in to the center of the weight (they're threaded!) and then used some good bits to drill out and weaken the welds. I then tied a string to the bolt in case the weight fell in the bar and gave it a couple whacks with a hammer- out they go!

That was the hardest part of the install. Wasted a good half hour there.

I then spent about 45 minutes cursing the stock handlebar geometry while trying to mount my Barkbusters. The tab welded on the right hand side to retain the throttle cable sucked.
