Ok, so now lets talk about the use of the stock spring in my bike - as you included my quote about it.. What I'm about to say applies to me and anyone else with my mods, or the exact mod list in my post above (#10)..

This is our current, up-to-the-minute information. Reinstalling the stock needle will improve dyno test results below 6.5K. For the two members that have tested it personally, it also improves power ramp-up and throttle response in "real world" riding.

At this point in time, I hold to the belief that personal riding characteristics will determine whether or not the stock spring reinstall is of benefit. I will know more when I test my current spring (DJ) and stock spring in a "well thought out" test ride.. So my opinion about all this will surely change soon..

Klxster, I have been following your results closely. Thank you for your research.

So from what you know so far, can you tell me if my plan is correct?

I will be riding at 3000ft to 5000ft (Rocky Mountains and a little street riding

For best offroad engine performance I am doing the following:
1)DJ 140 Main Jet
2)Stock 2009 KLX250 needle
3)Stock Spring
4)MCM Mod
5)DG Slipon
6)fuel mixture around 3 turns out
7)lidless
8)1N clip location
