Nice pics and not your average trailsfor sure. I can see where the sprocket change would help.

I hear you on feeling it, when I come back from a track day I am hurting for days

Great post, thanks.

Cool ride pics Thunderchild, always fun to see what kind of terrain others are riding, that looks pretty challenging!!!!

Question for you....... what kind of exhaust pipe does Vurtle have that appears in that first pic on the trailer?? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

for deep sand, what works best for me is lowing the air pressure to 9-10 psi (front and back), standing on the pegs and leaning back while pulling on the handlebars. That position seems to keep me from burring my front tire and gives me a micron of control on direction....
Thinks for the comments! That's Vurtles own mod. I'll try to find the post that has a better picture.

I think you're on to something about the tire pressure I was running a lot higher than that. Around 20 psi in both. I don't have any rimlocks yet and I didn't want to take a chance on the tire shifting and taking the valve stem with it.

Gotcha... Looks like he modified the end of the stock muffler to lose the baffles and increase the exit whole.... Nice job!!!

hey rusty i am 16 and i own a KLX300R i hope to make it street legal. deej i really want a street legal bike oposed to a car. it is just that bikes with skinny tires in the winter time on snow and ice dont mix that well. and it is just down right cold here in colorado. so rusty go for it you should be able to throw that bike around like no other. it will treat you with respect. good luck. all. nice ride report thunder child nice bikes. how hard was the terain. easy/medium/hard.
