sad...klx250sf is buried in a underground parking garage in san francisco since last thursday...been driving the ol' car from san francisco to san diego, to la, and back to san francisco...sitting in traffic and unable to use the hov (carpool) lanes...sad....will be burying the car in the garage and switching back to the klx250sf tomorrow!...

before the klx250sf...i put 35,000 miles in one year on the car....with the klx250sf, i put 10,000 miles on the klx250sf and 15,000 miles on the car in 10 months...i might start taking the klx250sf for longer business trips next month...

The KLX is a fantastic commuter for combination of reasons:
- light weight and flickable
- upright seating position with good visibility
- good torque & low gearing
- light linear clutch action
- manages potholes and manholes well
- narrow enough to thread thru traffic
- good city fuel mileage
In heavy traffic, The KLX makes a sport bike feel like a parade float!*

I didnt realize it was ride to work day. Usually somebody at work gets on the ball and posts up a reminder on our internet bulletin board.
Maybe tomorrow.

I feel like I'm a bit late but being close to a 100 degrees out today I road to class to work and back home today, total trip of about 75 miles and used a little more than a gallon of gas. Can't beat that!

I have been riding to and from work for a month now. As a noob I need the practice dodging cages. Rode to a nearby bar for an after work happy hour. The place is popular with the HD crowd and many of my coworkers.
As I was backing my little green thumper into the parking row of HDs the guy backing in next to me on a big chrome ape hanger laden bike he just smiled. I asked, "do you think if I water this thing it will grow into a big bike?" He laughed and said " hell I'd need a step ladder just to get on that thing!" Me in my day glow Mil Spec vest and ATGATT and him, shirtless with leather vest and doo-rag. The differences are astounding, the commonality just 2 wheels.
Enjoy the ride, the destination is unimportant ... especially if it is just to work.

Then I realized I had jeans on and a street jacket, and I was really heading to work and that made me one sad fella.

If you were an Aussie you would just ring in sick and go hit the trails
