Deej's hard starting solution
So i'm guessing you don't want to hear about my compression relief mod so the engine turns over easier ?
I thought compression relief was standard on the 250s & sf? Also know as ACR (auto compression relief??)
But if you really want the engine to turn over faster i would recommend removing the spark plug. The motor will spin like a sewing machine then
This is what makes this forum so great. You get a lot of good advise and also some great one liners to use at the next party. I wonder why I don't get invited to many parties anymore? Must be the economy?
hahahahahahahahahahahaha Dude that made my morning. good stuff!

My bike is completely stock. When its cold and hasnt been run in a while I try to start the bike with the chock but have no intention of starting the bike if that makes sense. I only push the starter for a few seconds, just enough for the bike to turn over 2 or 3 times. Then I wait about 15 seconds and try again and it starts right up. Before I came up with this method I was holding the starter for up to 5 seconds trying to get the bike to start on the first try.
Works for me.
Works for me.
since i have rejetted i can let my bike sit for several weeks and it starts right up.
I don't even turn the gas off when i park it.
I don't understand what the problem is if you have the bike jetted properly.
