Hmmm harder rubber? My 603 and the 606 was so stiff in the lugs that you could not even get them to flex. The Kenda is so soft you can squeeze two lugs together. I'm not sure I understand people calling this a harder compound.
Carcass stiffness and rubber compound are not related.

I corner pretty hard on all surfaces.
LOL! No offense but, you are not even close to cornering hard if you haven't slid these tires. That is the one redeeming feature of the 270s. I slide them all the time. It is pretty fun on dry pavement when you can be in control.
