Deej, how are those K270's

Actually I cornered so hard today I could swear the foot peg touched. So on the blacktop they are awesome. However I went riding on a quad trail with gravel underneath some fall leaves and I thought I had a flat tire. I don't think it was the tires, only the fact that I have to remember that leaves and moisture take some getting used to. But hey its fall and its supposed to be like that.

Just my .02
I agree that they are great off road but they are indeed crap on wet asphalt. The reason for their mileage ability is harder rubber. That hard rubber becomes very slippery on damp and/or cold days. I have almost 5000 miles on the rear now (front is toast) but I will not be buying another set. The front washed out on me at 15-20 mph one day and my knee still klicks and gets stiff from the foot-down save. It has been 1 1/2 years now! I should have just gone down....
At any rate, I will be buying some tires that may have less life but will be softer and stickier on asphalt....

Hmmm harder rubber? My 603 and the 606 was so stiff in the lugs that you could not even get them to flex. The Kenda is so soft you can squeeze two lugs together. I'm not sure I understand people calling this a harder compound. But then again I'm still a noob. I'm on my 3rd back tire and 2nd front tire in 6500 miles, I have yet to slip once, ad I corner pretty hard on all surfaces.

Deej, I think **** shape plays more into how flexible it is. Try scuffing up a spot on the tire with say 3-400 grit sandpaper. Then feeling how "tacky" they are comparitively, that is if you saved the others. Comparing my Michelin to the Trakmaster the ***** are just about the same flexibility but running your hand across the tire the Michelin hasa stickier feeling.
