Cutting stock handlebars
I want to add some handguards to my KLX300. I know they have washers welded near the ends.
How far in do I need to make the cut to avaoid the washers?

I've heard it's pretty easy to Dremel out the welds holding the nut in there.

it is better if you just leave them in and tap them. it will replace the pinch nut that comes with handguards.

I cut 1/8" off. The inserts worked well for me.
