I am helping a friend keep his modified KLX250R running and I don't have Valve clearance specs for it.
I have service manuals that go back to 1999 but not to 1995.
His KLX was performance modified by Stroker to a 340cc.
issues are tempermental starting issues won't kick over then out of the blue fires right up on next kick, loading up while cruising bogging down as if getting too much fuel then clears out after getting on the throttle, then popping like a 2 stroke. it has a flat slide pumper carb, and an after market cold start valve the runs a vacume line from intake manifold on cylinder head to air box.
Also has hot start (decompression release lever) on Handle bar.
I will be pulling the carb and doing a complete clean and inspection on it.
Any one have a 95' manual? If so can you shoot me the Valve clearance for IN and EX?
