Hey Dan, so I go out to the garage to check what size that big socket was that I had to buy when I first decided to change out my sprocket two years ago, and I got to the bench and there was a 27 and a 30 mm socket sitting there in the shelf. So being the OCD master that I am I now had to follow through with the time already invested and so I pulled the sprocket cover and it is indeed a 27 mm. I think the 30 mm that I also had was for something on my old 1980 VW Rabbit pickup that I had 15 years ago.
So the short answer? Yes its a 27 mm.[8D][8D][8D]

fiddle with my bike tonight, so I cango ridin on mybike tomorrow
Yeah finger thats how it should have gone. I really dropped the ball tonight, we went out to eat, and then ran some errands, and I totally spaced the socket. Looks like I will have to take a ride tomorrow to go getthe socket.

Moose sprocket fit great.Went on same as the stock one came off- splined washer, and nut. To get the stocker off tried wrapping on a breaker bar with a hammer to break it loose, no dice. Fired up the compressor and set the impact wrench on it. Couple quick pops with the impact and off it came. I haven't had it out on the road, but I did ride it around the yard, and like the feel so far. Less clutch work to crawl along, and quicker snap when nailing the throttle.
Thanks for the help Dan
