Check Your Exhaust Bolts
Alright folks, time for a little preventive maintenance tip. I was doing some work on my bike last night (installing KLX300 tank - pics to follow), when I decided to give a few things a once over. Man am I glad I did. Of the two bolts holding my exhaust to the frame, once was gone & the other was on its last thread or two before going bye-bye. Needless to say I had overlooked our good friend Senor Locktite on these bolts when I installed the Muzzy. Anyway, just a reminder that blue Locktite is your friend, and go check your bolts.
You'll be glad you did.

I think the dried mud encasing your bolts hold them in place, ems.

Seiuosly though the loctite (blue) is a good idea especially of the fasteners we tend to get into alot, like the seat bolts. Be sure to use only a driop as thats all it takes.
I interestingly found my header bolts pretty darn loose (close to hand tight, hand as in by hand, no wrench!) when I went to inspect/grind that pesky weld bead on the stock header. Other things I have found so redicullously tight I can't loosen them - front sprocket retainer nut for instance...
Some of my friends tell me I have a screw loose, but accept me for who I am, so why change now?
