Has anyone tried this cheap Ebay Rack. Its half the price or anything else I found. I know, I know you get what you pay for, but I have had two chines bikes and the racks were plenty strong. Plus I have a aluminum plate type rack I could modify to go on top of this rack.
Its returnable if it doesn't fit but it would probably cost more than the rack to send back. Has any one tried on of these?

That looks like the stock rack I took off my 07. Unless it's made with cheap metal, I would think it's ok.
I looked in the garage, I must have pitched mine. I have a aftermarket one that ties into the passenger pegs too, I modified it to be narrower, and it works good. I couldn't put all my stuff on that stock rack, but I have mine setup for a lot of tools and roto containers.

 

I was looking for my cheapest option to use as base i hate carring my backpack. Ive got a cheap china bike and it has similar type of rack and I've got a good bit of use out of it. The rotopack mount seems like a sweet deal even if your not packing fuel just because you can use it as a wider rack.
If it works out I have a sturdy aluminum type flack rack and I can modify this cheap rack to hold it or atleast thays what I'm hoping.
just got me a 21" wheel ordered and looking for an 18 for the rear then i can work on get this bike a bit dirty.

 

Rack looks fine.. any rack is not meant to hold a lot of lbs anyways... go for it.. at that price

 

at that price would it fit a 09 also.?

 

From my understanding there was not any real frame changes over the years so it should. Ill try to post a few pics or a video link when I get mine in maybe try to get some actual measurements and post those.
