I'm running a 13/42 now wanting to go to a 13/45 108 link chain ? is if I decide I don't like this ratio will I be able to put the stock 14 back on using my 108? and is the 13/45 best for the type of rideing I do 15 miles main road with a speed limit of 50 I really do want the low grunt but still need the road speed (not past 70mph) any suggestiong to differnt ratios

USE THE 13/45, YOU WILL BE PLEASED. ITIS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN THE STOCK GEAR RATIO. AT 60MPH I AM 6600 RPM. AT 70MPH I AM 7700 RPM AND AT 80MPH ABOUT 9000 RPM. I RIDE OFF ROAD BUT I ALSO USE IT TO DRIVE BACK AND FORTH TO WORK AND TO FRIENDS HOUSES. I AM EVEN CONSIDERING USING A 47 IN THE REAR. UNDECIDED. ANYBODY OUT THERE HAVESOME INPUT ON THE 13/47 RATIO?

The answer is yes, the chain will work with 14/45

Hey doitinthewoods............I just put a 45T on with the stock 14T and I am very happy with the performance now. I drive to the trails, so going 50-70mph is no problem at all. I am only slightly limited because I also added new tires with rim locks, andabove 50mph it does get kindasketchy as to the wheels notbeing balanced. But I don't really need or think going above 70mph issafe anyway. In the woods it's great the way it is now with the taller gearing, that extra torque is just what I needed to help clear some stumps and get up those steep muddy hills.
