IG, can you clarify why the snail adjusters would interfere with the chain-guard, I am planning on going 13/45 also, but need the use of the chainguard for inspection purposes where I live....thx

If the chain adjusters are ever in the way, all you have to do is flip them, am I right?

the adjusters are in the way because you have now moved the wheel forward and in turn the adjusters are at their minimum since the new sprocket and chain are new. with the adjusters moved all the way forward the long tail is now in the way of the holes that the screws that hold the guard on thread in to.and no you can't just flip the adjusters as it would throw your adjustment off by using the other end of the adjuster. you could cut part of the long tail of the adjuster off on that one side I guess. it's kind of hard to explain in writing why it won't fit after the larger sprocket. just go out and loosen your axle nut and flip your adjuster all the way forward and I think it will block the screw hole for the guard. I know it will actually.

ps. deej, I'm 150lbs. It didn't take much to get my mildly modded KLX to wheelie me. But the DRZ was a hoot with allit's torque.

Thanks IG..now I understand what you mean, but shouldn't one be able to install the guard before the adjusters?

well, I don't think so as the adjuster won't leave room for the head of the little screw but I could be wrong. Mine was off when I did this. I'm betting it would be tight between the head and the adjuster tail.
