i'm going to pickup some carb cleaner during my lunch and clean it after work. it's irritating because the bike is new and i've only had it for 5 months at most, and we're having unseasonably warm weatehr now. everyone else is out on their bike and my is parked, it's driving me crazy.

 

Update:

I started my tear down this evening, this may possibly be a noob question, but should the airbox smell of gasoline??

 

If its 5 months old, its still under warranty, why not just take it in?

 

Numerous reasons:

1.) it doesnt go any faster than about 7 MPH with it's current issue and the dealership isn't exactly close

2.) i dont trust the guys down there any further than i can throw them (everyone told me different things, hard to tell who is b.s.'ing you

3.) they charge out the wazoo to even look at your bike

4.) i dont want them to take 1 look and blame the exhaust or anything i've done without even looking at it
