The settings for the rear shock. The top adj is the compression setting and factory is 14, changed to 6. I could find no reference to changing the lower adj which is Rebound other than stock is 9 and I lowered it to 6 clicks. I also tried to dothe adjustment for Sag. 90-100mm or 3.5-3.9 in. Turned the lower adjusting nut down but never got that much movement. Only 2.25 in. Will try it there. My upper locking adjuster is frozen so I now have a 3/4 in. space between the two adj nuts. If this is a important adjustment I probably will need a heavier spring for the shock.

bleh[:'(], upper lock ring stuck? I'd be asking my dealer for a new shock. OK, maybe that's over reacting. Mine moved pretty easily once I separated the two. I mean, they've always got some spring pressure on them (well, no, actuallyjust the lower one I guess). The upper should spin nice and freely. Aww hell, I can't remember now.

If your goal is 3.5-3.9 & you are only getting 2.25 you need to lengthen the length of the spring--turn the collars up to the top. This will allow the rear to sag. (Yes it is the most important adjustment).

Sounds like a good couple of settings Fishfinder.
I'm 180 lbs so around the same size as you.

I have my front fork also on 4 clicks (I find the OEM spring a bit spungy..so 4 was good for me).

The factory setting for the reound dampener is 12, I set mine on 7 and the factory setting for compression is 16, I set mine for 8. So far I like the settings, thebike seems to landsoft andI have not had my seat come up and tattoo me after a jump so I'm guessing the adjustments are decent.

+1! Sag is first and foremost, numero uno, ichiban, No.1! It is the most important adjustment to your suspension. And yes, it sounds like you need to adjust in the opposite direction.
