Buying a used KLX250s - What to watch for?

Good advice on keeping the plastic from fading. I put down and closed the blinds in the garage. Yeah I'm very happy with the purchase. It's kind of weird but I think you guys can understand that everytime I exit and enter the garage it's cool when the door opens and I see the bike in there. I waited way too long to do this.

Well I finally got out for a real street ride yesterday. We just cruised around the back roads for about a half hour. The bike is very smooth and easy to ride. I got it up to 65mph (indicated on optimistic speedo) at one point and it still felt pretty buttoned down. The mirrors are actually a lot more stable than my brothers BMW R9 (old '70's model) as we switched bikes for a bit.
I'm really wanting to do some off road riding. Nothing crazy just some good fun trail riding. I live in NJ in the Burlington area and was hoping perhaps someone in this forum might know some good off road riding locations near my area? Or perhaps allow me to tag along with a group some time?

+1 on waiting too long to get another bike. 16years for me.
Learjet did you buy it when you were in Guam then ship or did you buy it sight unseen from Guam? I bought mine from Pensylvaina and shipped it to Guam! I found it cheeper than buying on Guam.
Cheers Jim
Dang, good deal. I got mine at 1,800 miles as the third owner, and it was shipped from overseas from Anderson AFB in Guam.
Cheers Jim
