Hi Frog...I just bought my first two items on Ebay and they went really smooth. One of the items was a transmission for a 636 and it was in great condition at a great price. So I think you are good to go.

I have bought alot of stuff on ebay.... trailer hitch for my truck, stuff like that, make sure you read the whole thing though.....im actually bidding on a 60 gb portable hard drive right now.... its over in 15 mins.....

I've had troubles with buying some (non-motorbike) electronics on ebay. Everything else has been good though, waiting on a dynojet kit so we'll see how that goes too.
And since we're talking about weird stuff being sold on ebay...I've seen a ziplock bag full of wind from a bighurricane years ago.
