I put one of Keng engines adjustable aluminum clutch arms on my klx402 engine. I'm running 3 of the Barnett clutch springs and 3 stock springs. I got about 150 miles on the engine before winter hit, but it definitely helps with the reducing the amount of effort to pull the clutch lever.

You have a part number or a place to buy that arm? I’d try that before opening up the clutch

Keng engine is on Facebook. He's a independent motorcycle shop in Thailand. Best way to get in touch with him is to send him a private message through Facebook messenger. I was a bit skeptical at first but after going through his whole Facebook page and seeing the products he sells and after many months of communication with him I ordered the klx402 kit and bought the adjustable aluminum clutch arm all in one purchase. He's a honest man, he does have an email address but I've always contacted him thru Facebook messenger, but it's keng_engineshop@hotmail.com

Here's a picture of the clutch arm in it original package. He removed the price tag before he shipped it to me, but I think it's around $35 not including the shipping.

I messaged Keng on FB and it's going to come out to about 2700 THB or $78 USD including shipping. Does no one else make such a thing for the KLX?

Shipping probably is over half the cost of that clutch arm. Nicely done though.

Extending the stock arm isn’t a big deal if you have a mig or tig. Even making that bolt on extender wouldn’t be that bad

I have a Tig and MiG welder, I just never got around to fabricating one from scratch. I have a few spare clutch arms I could modify. I could even measure it against the aluminum one I have from Keng and make them the same length. If you're willing to wait I could make one see if your interested in buying one, it would probably be around $20 for me to make and ship.

I’d be interested in one as it would definitely make the bike easier to ride in hard nasty crap

So I finally got around to extending the clutch pivot arm. Here's a few pictures of the extension. I added about 1/2 inch of steel to lengthen it. Then I had to cut and bend it for a better angle. I won't be able to test it for awhile as it's middle of winter here in Michigan. I'll post back in the spring when I get to test ride it.

wow looks good! I got one from Keng with my 355 kit. Otherwise I would also try to extend.

I can see why you had to do the last cut & reweld, Thanks for the pics and your engineering effort. I can figure that the pivot pin center line needs to be relocated when the arm is lengthened to land in between the lines I drew. The clutch cable inline adjustment will allow leeway. I’ll try using silicone bronze wire since it flows easier and makes me look like I know what I’m doing 😆
